I am selling a leica 14142 special base plate for the mda, md and md2. It use a strip (leica 14170), 4 mm wide,  in order to write information by contact on the film (technical data such as exposure parameters, date and time) the ancestor of "EXIF"! the usage can also be diverted since you can write / draw anything you want on this part of the negative.
