Il est initialement destiné aux caméras ciné 16mm. Il s'agit d'un objectif très rare à ne pas confondre avec le Cinor 100mm F/3.5 beaucoup plus commun. Il peut très facilement être dévissé de sa monture C et être adapté à tout boîtier numérique puisqu'il couvre même le format GFX sans aucun vignettage à l'infini. Sa construction optique est de type Ernostar avec 5 éléments en 4 groupes, c'est un type d'objectif reconnu pour le portrait et la douceur de son bokeh.
