      A Gorgeous Pair of Vintage French Bronze Bedside Side Table Lamps with Shades   I am selling a really gorgeous pair of vintage French table lamps with pretty shades.   This pair of lamps have really ornate bronze ormolu bases. The pretty vintage chiffon clip-on shades are handmade and are of very good quality. The lamps with their shades measure 31cm in height. The lamp bases without their shades measure 19cm in height. The width of the lamp base at its widest point measures 24cm. The pair of lamps with their shades weigh 2.2 kg They both have on/off switches incorporated into the flex. They each require a bayonet type bulb (bulbs not included).  They will need to have plugs fitted. All measurements are approximate. Condition  Both lamps are in good condition having surface patination to the bronze commensurate with age and use. There are some surface marks to the faux candle sleeves and the sleeves are different in design and colour. There are several pulls/nicks in the chiffon material of the shades, I have shown an example of this in the last photo. I have shown these light fittings working and the two core flex appears to be in good order but I would advise you to have them checked/tested  before use and if necessary rewired to the standards required in your country of residence.   Payments by Paypal only please P+P  I take care with my packaging using strong boxes, bubble wrap and polychips.  Postage from France with tracking and insurance. The central column is in two distinct sections. The upper section has a striking acanthus shaped rose at the top, it has a  gently turned rim and is intricately embossed below with rich sprays of laurel leaves radiating out from the centre. Below this a vase shaped column, again with rich foliate embossing, sits on a circular plate from which rise up six slender sinuously curving decorative spurs each one with more embossed leaves and a super little daisy on the top. The scalloped circular plate, with a swagged pattern encircling the underside, also forms a rose for the lower section of the column. It has a slightly larger version of the vase shaped column above and sits on a sweeping capital on the top half of the chandeliers centre. It has an Egyptian type design etched around the extended rim forming a lovely scalloped edge. The six arms extend from the fluted band in the centre of the light. Carved along the length with extraordinarily detailed swathes of scrolled leaves, put together with the candle cups that match the top rose on the central column and they are wonderfully opulent and plush. All are complete with original faux candle sleeves. The base of the chandelier is a mirror image of the top centre of the light with the addition of a large pineapple finial in the centre. It is in wonderful vintage condition and the bronze has developed a lovely timeworn patina over the years that really glows when the chandelier is lit. The remarkable attention to detail and lavish workmanship in this chandelier would make it a stunning centrepiece in any home. Antique French Vintage Bronze Pair of Fabulous Ormolu Table Lamps, heavy and of good quality. This is a lovely pair of Lamps! Real Versailles Chateau Chic! They weigh 1.4 kilos 3lbs 1.8 ozs so they are a substantial pair and measure 22.5 cm high about 8 7/8 th inches, they are 8.5cm wide about 3 3/8th inches. There are some surface scratches, dulling of the surfaces and some marks in the bronze but in other respects it is in wonderful vintage condition. These are wonderful vintage table lamps, they are really lovely and shine beautifully, especially when lit. Our lighting all works unless otherwise stated. The bulb fittings are compatible with 240V electrical supply which covers most of the world. If you live in a country that has 110V electrical supply all you need to do to convert the lights is ask an electrician to replace the bulb holders when he is fitting the lights. Lovely, interesting light shade.  A beautiful addition to any room of your house.
