This unit is in very good condition - see pictures: front face is pristine with no scratches, only a few usage scratches around the rack ears from installation (marks will be hidden again after mounted onto a rack). Pentax ME 35mm film SLR camera, with Pentax 50mm f2 standard lens, front cap and Vivitar zoom lens. Tested with film, in full working order. This body has external signs of wear and tear and age, and a small dent on the top, but no cracks or other obvious damage. The shutter fires and winds on nicely, and the speeds are good. The viewfinder and focusing screen have some minor dust (and one larger blob, which is very close to the edge), but overall they are bright, clear and sharp. The viewfinder lightmeter lights work well. The mirror and lens mount are good, with minor wear, the film chamber is clean and the shutter is intact. I have installed brand new light seals in the film chamber, and a new mirror damper foam. The flash hotshoe and self-timer are tested and working. This camera uses 2 x LR44 1.5v batteries, not included. The Pentax 50mm lens is also in good condition and working well. There are minor signs of use on the glass and a few specks of dust, but the glass is good overall and it's very sharp. The iris is working well and the focus ring is smooth. I have tested this camera with film, it produces sharp, well-exposed results with even frame spacing. Finally I'm including a Vivitar 28-70mm zoom lens as a free extra. This has a few surface marks on the glass and some minor fungus, but it still works very well and is a good option when you need a wider or closer view than the standard lens. Rare Pair Tannoy 12" Red with original crossovers LSU/HF/12/L. No cabinet. They work perfectly and they are in a very good condition, one of the crossovers with its peeling paint (photo). Nikon AF Nikkor ED 300mm f4 autofocus prime lens, with front and rear caps. In good condition and in full working order, though the focus can be noisy (details below). Externally this lens is in very nice condition, with only light signs of use. The glass is also good, it's clean, clear and free of haze and fungus. There is one tiny mark on the front element, which doesn't affect image quality, and it's otherwise unmarked. As with any used lens, there are a few specks of internal dust. The aperture blades are excellent, they're clean and free of oil, the aperture ring clicks well through the stops and the iris is snappy. The AF servo motor can be noisy - sometimes the screw-drive gear makes a high-pitched noise when refocusing between near and far subjects (or vice versa). This is apparently a common problem on this lens, but it shouldn't affect performance. The autofocus is accurate, but the noise could be disturbing if, for example, you're photographing wildlife. In manual focus the gear will make a similar high-pitched noise if you focus quickly. For normal fine focusing it doesn't make this noise, you have to move the barrel quite quickly to provoke it. In any case, I have set a lower price to reflect the issue. The removable filter holder works well and the included Nikon L37c is in good condition, with minor signs of use. The built-in hood is slightly dented but also still works very well. When tested the lens produces sharp, contrasty images. I often have similar or compatible items for sale, see my shop for details.
