SELMER Mk6 UNIQUE soprano sax – MICHEL DONEDA’S : a unique gemm ! Tout le monde connait MICHEL DONEDA, qui est un des plus grands saxophonistes soprano d'aujourd'hui. il officie depuis plus de 40 ans dans le domaine des musiques improvisees et a developpe un vocabulaire et un son vraiment remarquable sur cet instrument. je suis actuellement détenteur de son soprano mark 6 (1974) qui l'a accompagné sur une bonne partie de sa carrière, instrument en état remarquable et qui bien qu'ayant été beaucoup joué aux 4 coins du globe (il a enregistre avec tout le monde, y compris elvin jones en duo !) il est en parfait etat et sonne merveilleusement bien. Michel cherche aujourd'hui à s'en defaire car il joue depuis quelque temps sur un yamaha custom qui donne un son moins "signe" que le selmer. Si vous êtes interessé par cet instrument trié sur le volet par ce grand specialiste,, n’hesitez pas a encherir.sur cet instrumentest vendu avec son etui d’origine. He has worked for more than 40 years in the field of improvised music and has developed a truly remarkable vocabulary and sound on this instrument. I am actualtly the owner of his soprano mark 6 (1974) which has accompanied him for a good part of his career. This instrument is in remarkable condition and although it has been played a lot all around the globe (he has recorded worldwide with the greatest jazz musicians, including in duet with Elvin Jones !). It's in pristine condition and sounds wonderful. Michel is now trying to get rid of it because he now keeps playing on a custom yamaha which gives a less "signature" sound than the Selmer. If you are ever interested in this instrument chosen among twenties at Selmer’s by a great specialist, do not hesitate to bid. This instrument comes with its original case. the lacquer is missing on many parts of the body and keys, but it is still nice looking with no dents or damage and it provides a very wide, powerful very in tune sound. Together with the sphere microphone KFM 360 and two bidirectional compact condenser microphones CCM 8L, it forms a compact 5.1 surround recording system with excellent spatial imaging capability. The processor derives the six 5.1 surround channels from only four microphone signals (the two pressure transducers in the KFM 360 plus two figure-8s) and offers a wide range of selectable settings.
