Unlike almost all other currently available record players, the Dual CS 5000 operates at 78 rpm as well as 33% and 45 rpm. The tonearm of the CS 5000 is designed to minimize many of the recognized weaknesses of typical pivoted tonearms. It is supported by gimbal pivots for both axes of motion and operates at all times in a fully balanced state (the downward tracking force is supplied by a coiled spring). Dual points out that the arm-support system eliminates any need for critical leveling of the turntable, which can in theory be operated at almost any angle to the horizontal. Another potential problem, warp wow, is a common result of playing a warped record with a tonearm whose vertical pivot is located above the record's plane. The combination causes a periodic fore-to-aft shift of the stylus as the arm travels over the warp and superimposes a frequency modulation (wow) on the program. The Dual CS 5000's tonearm has its vertical pivot in the plane of the record, which reduces warp wow to its lowest possible level. The slim, tubular-aluminum tonearm has a removeable head-shell featuring Dual's adjustable vertical tracking angle (VTA). The cartridge can be tilted by a knob on top of the shell, varying the VTA over a ± 5-degree range. A critical listener can do this by ear, and Dual also recommends VTA settings for a number of popular cartridges. The tracking-force and antiskating controls are on the tonearm's pivot structure, near the arm rest and cueing-lift lever. Most turntables, including the CS 5000, have platters that are designed to concentrate their mass around the outer edge, where it contributes the most to the inertia of the system. These platters resemble a shallow bell, and they usually ring like one when struck or otherwise excited mechanically, a characteristic that can color or muddy the reproduced sound. PLATINE VINYLE LENCO L-82 EN PARFAIT ETAT.   Platine Lenco L-82 fabriquée en suisse à partir de 1976. Elle est en parfait état de fonctionnement et en bon état esthétique (voir les photos). Elle est 100% d’origine. C’est une platine manuelle avec arrêt automatique et levée du bras en fin de disque Sur le plan technique : -Elle possède une très bonne cellule Shure M-75-6 avec son diamant de marque Shure en très bon état. -La courroie est neuve. -La platine tourne à la bonne vitesse, elle atteint sa vitesse rapidement, elle est totalement silencieuse, -le système de montée et descente du bras fonctionne parfaitement, ainsi que l’arrêt automatique en fin de disque. -Le bras est en parfait état avec tous ses réglages opérationnels. -Les cordons audio et secteur sont d’origine et parfaitement opérationnels. Sur le plan esthétique, -le socle est très propre et sans défaut majeur (voir les photos). -Toutes les sérigraphies sont présentes, -Le capot est en bon état. A noter cependant une rayure peu visible sur le dessus et une fêlure à l’arrière près d’une charnière ainsi qu’une minuscule partie recollée sur l’autre charnière. Le capot est parfaitement opérationnel, il s’ouvre et se ferme sans difficulté, il tient ouvert ou semi ouvert. Il peut rester fermé, ouvert ou semi ouvert pendant la lecture des disques. Il faut cependant le manipuler avec douceur. -Les petits défauts ci-dessus sont totalement invisibles lorsqu’on regarde la platine de face.   La L-82 de Lenco est une platine de qualité, fiable, facile et agréable à utiliser et très simple à régler. Antique lens: Ilex Oscillo Paragon on Ilex N°3 Universal shutter. This lens has a maximum aperture of f1.9 for 75mm focal length. The shutter has B and T settings, and a mounting thread of 48.3mm, so very easy to adapt on a helicoid mount for your digital camera. Shutter works at each speed, iris turns smoothly and the 10 blades give an amazing circle, glasses have tiny dust inside and are amber tinted (increasing contrast on B&W pictures for oscillograph shooting). The Weathermatic 35DL issued by Minolta in 1987 is basically the same dual-focus compact camera as the Minolta AF-DL. The difference is the watertight camera body of the Weathermatic which makes it a real camera for aquanauts, with waterproofing to 5m (16.4ft). The electrically driven dual focus lens is hidden behind a water-tight window and the one 6V lithium or four AAA battery compartment is sealed. A big sports finder can be mounted to ease usage under water with goggles. A button on the back of the camera enables "macro" close-ups underwater. The camera was originally supplied in a bright yellow kit bag with several accessories like a two roll film carrier, underwater viewfinder frame, and a carry strap. The 35 DL is solid and made from high-quality plastics. Below water, it operates in fixed-focus mode. Above water, it utilizes an infrared active-type autofocus with a range of 0.75 m (2.5ft) to infinity. A focus hold feature is available. Shutter lock is indicated by a red light next to the viewfinder. The flash is fully automatic; it cannot be turned on or off and has no adjustable settings.
