FOR CONNOISSEURS AND COLLECTOR'S ONLY  Mico Nissim a voulu se perdre dans sa mémoire, dans la tradition du jazz qu’il voudrait bousculer à l’aide d’un guide, Thelonious Monk en l’occurrence. Il en est de pire. « Labyrinthe quartet », ainsi se nomme son groupe, devient tout un programme. Une sorte de projection de cette filiation qui unit Nissim et Monk, le compositeur le plus borgésien qui soit, et la volonté d’être soi-même. Réunir un vibraphone, Stephan Caracci virtuose de ce curieux instrument, une contrebasse qui se fait basse électrique dans un hommage à Monk, Jean-Luc Ponthieux et une batterie, Mourad Benhammou qui sait tout de cet instrument emblématique du jazz, était un pari qui n’avait rien de pascalien.
