After I've pourchased an amp with integrated streaming capabilities, this one is getting dusted and it's a shame, it's a wonderful streamer / network player / server, highly regarded by the audiophile community. Appareil en très bon état de fonctionnement et d'aspect proche du neuf. Livré avec sa télécommande, accessoires et dans son emballage d'origine. La Stream Box RS de la série RS représente le haut de gamme en matière de lecteur réseau du fabricant autrichien Pro-Ject. Mais la Stream Box RS est bien plus que cela puisqu’elle peut également servir de convertisseur externe, de tuner numérique et possède même un étage de sortie à tubes avec contrôle de volume: une petite boîte audiophile bourrée d’ingéniosité. - Performances sonores pures: (4/5) - Musicalité: (4.5/5) - Intérêt: (4/5) Une petite boîte audio connectée multitâche et qui fonctionne à tubes La Pro-Ject Stream Box RS se range dans la catégorie haut de gamme de la marque au côté d’un préampli pour platine vinyle, Phono Box RS, d’un lecteur CD Box RS, d’un dac/préampli, Box Digital RS et d’une amplification, Amp Box RS, qui se décline en modèle intégré ou en blocs de puissance stéréo ou mono. Le format atypique de toutes les réalisations (206 x 75 x 195 mm) de Pro-Ject forme une sorte de signature visuelle de la marque; il faut aussi pour Heinz Lichtenegger qu’une électronique se fasse oublier. Fini les châssis massifs et look ostentatoire: la compacité des lignes et leur sobriété sont de mise. Néanmoins, le châssis de l'appareil est tout en aluminium anodisé brossé avec une face avant de 3 mm d’épaisseur qui ne présente aucune vis de fixation visible. En plein milieu trône un grand écran en couleur de 8.9 cm, une première prise USB A 2.0 et le bouton de marche-arrêt. L’arrière de l’appareil est beaucoup plus fourni avec une antenne Wifi, un port Ethernet RJ45, une seconde prise USB A, deux entrées numériques S/PDIF (optique et coaxiale) et enfin une entrée analogique par RCA. La double sortie (symétrique par XLR) et asymétrique (RCA) est accompagnée d’un bouton poussoir pour activer le contrôle du volume de l’appareil ou pas. Pas de trace d’une quelconque prise secteur IEC, avec la Stream Box RS, toute l’alimentation est totalement externalisée avec dans un boîtier conséquent de 20V/3 Amp: une bonne idée pour économiser une place précieuse. Sous le capot de l'appareil, l’électronique se divise entre plusieurs cartes reliées par des nappes. Celle du dessus comprend les interfaces numériques comme la conversion basée sur une puce PCM1792A Texas Instrument qui accepte les signaux jusqu’à 24 bits et 192 kHz. En dessous de cette carte se trouvent le contrôleur réseau et l’interface Ethernet Realtek RTL8201. Mais, ce qui va démarquer le plus cet appareil de la concurrence se trouve à l’opposé avec la présence de deux tubes. Sont effectivement installées à l’horizontale, deux triodes ECC6922 (E88CC) qui serve comme étages de sorties au Stream Box RS tout en lui donnant une musicalité digne de cette technologie. C’est le seul lecteur réseau qui reprend ce montage à tubes dans cette gamme de prix et ajoutons pour compléter cette description que le potentiomètre de volume (si on l’utilise) est un modèle Alps de très belle facture. Concernant les capacités de traitement audio, la Pro-Ject Stream Box RS accepte la quasi-totalité des formats audio: AIFF, FLAC, WMA, AAC, ALAC, WAV, Ogg Vorbis et MP3 et ce jusqu’à la résolution maximale de 24 bits/192 kHz. Comme quoi, rien n’a été oublié dans la conception de cet appareil. Ne possédant qu’un seul potentiomètre de volume pour toute commande, toutes les manipulations se font via la petite télécommande livrée avec l’appareil. Une fois allumé et après un auto-test qui dure quelques secondes, le menu principal apparaît et la télécommande nous permet de choisir entre les diverses possibilités. État : "Occasion" En excellent état de fonctionnement, notez qu' il faudra remplacer une ampoule du voyant Led  "classe A". Voltage 220V. Le M300 a été produit en même temps que la série C300. Je crois qu’il n’en a été produit que 2000 dans le monde. C’est non seulement une paire de collection, mais le haut de gamme des luxman des années 1980. Ils sont les dernières combinaisons pré/ampli, à avoir été fabriquées sans implication de Alpine(qui a ensuite  modifié sérieusement la qualité Luxman  hélas.). ils ont été primés "produit de l'année" au début des années 80.  Le M300 se laisse utiliser soit en classe A, où il développe 2x42 w sous 8 ohms en classe A, ou alors 172w en classe AB sous 8 ohms. Suite à nos essais avec le TI PCM5122 sur un PCB PiFi DAC+ nous n'avons plus besoin de ce DAC HAT pour Raspberry Pi 2/3 (compatible avec les distro et les RPi qui supportent les PiFi DAC / HiFI Berry DAC). Attention ce n'est plus du tout une PiFi DAC, là on est loin devant un Stream 32 Liedson (avec Moode Audio 7.0.1) Résistances changées et appairées, capas de sortie appairées, capa MLCC et découplage aux petits oignons, Silmic II en amont des alims, filtrage allim RPi avec la FBead qui va bien. Bref le PCM5122 comme il faut. (ce n'est pas non plus l'excellente BOSS 1.2, qui est notre nouvelle base...). Version compacte qui passe dans pas mal de boitiers, sortie niveau ligne (et pas casque !!) sur la mini-jack (les RCA pourries d'origines sont dans la poubelle). Difficile de parler du son, chacun trouve ce qu'il y veut. On va se contenter de dire un son "rond". Envoyé dans une enveloppe kraft (et dans un sac anti-statique). Aucun support ou aide, vous savez ce que vous achetez: se gère comme une HiFi Berry DAC + ou Pifi DAC+ Can ship Europe, please ask for your country: the 99$ is of course not realistic.
