Hifime UH1 Digital permet d'écouter de la musique en qualité (horloges TCXO, isolement galvanique) depuis un ordinateur via la sortie USB de celui-ci. La sortie HDMI I2S est compatible avec les 3D LAB Nano DAC. It provides a very firm locking of the door and thus the door will not open during playback or recording unlike all other D3 and DD series. Originally the early versions of the D3 series were designed to be used mostly by journalists who needed a solid and reliable device which allowed the cassette compartment to stay well closed. But later Sony abandoned this system due to high production costs. The Walkman was completely disassembled, cleaned from old oil and grease and re-lubricated. Center gear, capstan ring rubber, counter belt and RWD reel gear have been replaced with new parts.
