This full QUAD system is made of: - 1 piece of Quad II amplifier (serial number n° 8026) - 1 piece of Quad 22 pre-amplifier - 1 piece of tuner Quad FM2 - 1 piece of tuner AM2 - 1 speaker ESL57 (serial number n° 7365) This very rare full system has been manufactured in the second half of the 50's and is operational: it is a unique museum piece of art! It has been serviced in 2010: details of the service are available upon request (message me, I will send you a copy of the invoice). Power plugs are made for France. X-RARE JVC MF-55LS Hi-Fi 3 IN 1 Music System This is a fantastic audio system from 1971 made by JVC in Japan. The cassette deck section is a one motor unit with mechanically controlled transport. It has manual EQUALIZER and BIAS selection for Normal, Fe-Cr and Chrome tapes. Recording level is manually adjustable with two needle type VU meters. ​Instead of Dolby noise reduction this unit uses a JVC proprietary noise reduction system, the ANRS (Automatic Noise Reduction System) and the Super ANRS. The turntable section is a belt drive manual unit with S tonearm and a JVC cartridge. The radio section uses a beautiful tuning scale that stretches across the front edge of the unit. The amplifier delivers 25 W/channel @ 4 ohm. For an external source there is an auxiliary input at the back and there is provision for two sets of loudspeakers, one set for DIN plugs and the other one for bare wire. It provides a very firm locking of the door and thus the door will not open during playback or recording unlike all other D3 and DD series. Originally the early versions of the D3 series were designed to be used mostly by journalists who needed a solid and reliable device which allowed the cassette compartment to stay well closed. But later Sony abandoned this system due to high production costs. The Walkman was completely disassembled, cleaned from old oil and grease and re-lubricated.
