Transport is working, (recording and playback). the meeter needle modulate normaly during testing, recording and playback. But as I can judge the quality of recording is very poor. As I can judge it because: -  I can only monitor through the loudspeaker and recording is barely audible behind high rumble, but it is said in manual loudspeaker quality is low and only headphone monitor is great  -  I don't have anymore needed banana plug adapter to monitor through headphones. - The tapes I presently have are from the heighties... So to make it short The basic functions seems to operate but not in a very satisfaying way.and I cannot test it futher. This unit need professional grade service to return to state of proper use.
