Le disque intitulé « Mingus Dynasty » est un album studio du légendaire bassiste et compositeur jazz américain Charles Mingus. Enregistré entre septembre et novembre 1963 à New York, ce disque marque l'apogée de l'artiste dans son genre. Il est composé de dix morceaux dont certains sont des reprises de standards du jazz telles que « Goodbye Pork Pie Hat », « Fables of Faubus », ou encore « Blue and Jazz ». Les autres morceaux sont des compositions originales de Charles Mingus qui révèlent sa maîtrise du groove et de l'improvisation jazz. Cet album a été enregistré avec les meilleurs musiciens du jazz new-yorkais de l'époque: John Coltrane à la saxophone ténor, Eric Dolphy au saxophone alto et basson, Clifford Jordan à la saxophone alto, Jimmy Knepper au trombone, Ted Curson au cornet, Jaki Byard aux claviers, Dannie Richmond aux percussions et Billy Higgins à la batterie. La qualité sonore exceptionnelle de ce disque a été assurée par Rudy Van Gelder qui a réalisé les enregistrements aux studios Van Gelder situés dans le New Jersey. La pochette originale conçue par Reid Miles est également célèbre pour son design minimaliste et moderne qui révèle la personnalité de Charles Mingus. G = Bon etat La pochette est usée avec des plis, des marques, des décollements, une usure des bords, des décolorations, un début de marque circulaire du disque sur la pochette. Les signes de l'âge sont présents. Le cd a des rayures et marques qui n'affectent pas la qualité sonore. F = Etat moyen L'état de la pochette est proche de celui de VG- avec en plus des écritures, un papier gondolé à cause de l'humidité, des déchirures sur les bords... La qualité du son est détériorée par les nombreuses lectures, il peut y avoir des sautements. Does not affect quality sound. F = Fair The cover and contents can be torn, stained and/or defaced, there also can be some writing on it. Je sors le disque (avec sa sous-pochette) de sa pochette cartonnée, car sinon le disque peut bouger et faire des trous dans la pochette (vécu en tant qu’acheteur). Puis j’ajoute 3 couches de protection : 1.    pochette en plastique comme celle que vous trouvez chez un disquaire. 2.    enveloppe à bulles avec des cales pour assurer l’écart avec le 3ème niveau. 3.    carton cannelé haute qualité, très rigide, avec la mention « fragile »   Shipping with Mondial Relay tracking, perfectly reliable. I have shipped hundreds of discs and have never encountered any problems. Here is my method. I take the disc (with its under-cover) out of its cardboard cover, because otherwise the disc can move and make holes in the cover (experienced as a buyer). Then I add 3 layers of protection: 1. plastic pouch like the one you find at a record store. 2. bubble wrap with shims to ensure the gap with the 3rd level. 3. high quality fluted cardboard, very rigid, with the mention "fragile"
