Tokina 28-70mm f4 manual focus zoom lens, Minolta MD mount. With front cap and matched lens hood. Sold for parts/repair as the iris is slow. This is Minolta MD/SR mount, for manual focus Minolta 35mm film SLRs, though it can be adapted to many other cameras with mount adapters. Externally this lens is in very good external condition, with minor wear and tear. The glass is clean, clear and unscratched, and free of haze and fungus. As with any used lens, there may be a few minor specks of internal dust. The aperture blades are clean and free of oil but the iris is a little slow to close when released, therefore may cause exposure problems. The zoom and focus barrels move smoothly, though the macro mode seems to be behave a little strangely. Tested and producing sharp images, but sold for parts/repair due to the iris fault.  For items sold for 'parts or repair' - I try to give a good description of any faults I find, but it is not always possible to give a complete list, and there will sometimes be other problems not described in the listing. It is the RMC version. The major plus point of this lens is its sharpness. Wide open at F/4 it fairly soft and dreamy but still very useable. Stop it down to F/5.6 and it sharpens considerably. Go down another stop to F/8 and it is tack sharp throughout the focal range. Easily as sharp as my SMC Takumar 2/55. There is some aberation at F/4 but again this improves when stopped down. This isn't a lens for creamy bubble bokeh and I wouldn't expect it from a zoom tbh. Saturation is good and contrast is excellent when stopped down. Biggest drawback is handling. It's heavy and large. Also the zoom and aperture ring are very close together. The macro focus doesn't work below 35mm. Overall a cheap, tack sharp quality zoom, if you can overcome the handling problems.

There is one friction mark on distance scale, please look at pictures.  Optically near mint: very clean glass with no fungus, no scratches, no haze, almost no dust I can see.  Mechanically everything is fine, smooth focusing and dry and snappy aperture.  This is a very sought after lens and probably one of the best long macro you can find. It's build like a tank and has great sharpness, colors and contrast.  For Minolta analogic cameras or to adapt onto every mirrorless camera no matter the brand.  With caps.  Please feel free to ask questions.
