Il permet 3 types de mesures en 1, le TOS mètre et ROS mètre, le Champmètre, ainsi qu'un Matcher  * * * The ROS-9 is a very complete mid-range device with a minimum footprint. La 2éme fonction: Importante est la solution à la 1ére quand le résultat est mauvais (TOS,ROS) alors deux possibilités s'offrent à nous, soit  on accorde l'antenne à l'émetteur mais cela n'est pas toujours possible. Exemple: l'utilisation en limite de bande de la couverture de l'antenne, reflexion dû à l'environnement de l'antenne (batiments etc...). C'est la que le Matcher (boite d'accord) rentre en action, grace aux deux condensateurs ajustables on peut accorder artificiellement  l'antenne et corriger le TOS, mais cela reste une solution de rechange on préférera la première, car l'utilisation du Matcher est  le résultat d'une perte de puissance.
