Electronic parts have been upgraded by Roger West himself to Toroid 2 level one month ago. I've made a custom wood frame to accomodate new transformers (which are too big to get inside the original frame). Speaker's impendance has been raised as well.   This is the only pair of A3 upgraded to Toroid 2 level worldwide (as Toroid 2 upgrade has never been made before for A3 speakers). New toroidal transformers and higher sensibility make them easy to drive with any decent amplifier. So, this particular pair of A3 is not only in a virtualy new condition, they also sound better than new. I actually not used it a lot (around 200 hours top). This pre-amp is in excellent state. Coupled to an Air Tight Atm1s, it gives a kick to the amp and delivers a more lively sound and deep. Equipped with tubes, signature sound can tweaked by changing tubes. This preamp comes with original tubes selected by air Tight. The build quality is excellent (made in Japan by A&M limited also known as Air Tight). Ensemble en excellent état. Quelques rares griffures à noter sur le dessus du boitier en aluminium massif. Tous les doubles - cartons d’origine ont été gardés. ___ N’hésitez pas à consulter mes autres annonces (quelques autres câbles et accessoires disponibles + enceintes JM Reynaud 3 voies, cellule MC Dynavector DV 20X, et DAC Benchmark USB, éventuellement.) Etant donnés la valeur, la fragilité, et le soin avec lequel ces appareils ont été traités jusqu’ici, je suis plus que réticent à faire un envoi. Je préfèrerais un retrait chez moi à Paris, après une écoute (j’ai une discothèque bien fournie, et du bon café), qui pourra se faire également avec les appareils dont vous voudriez vérifier la compatibilité. Si vous lisez cette annonce, je suppose que davantage d’explications est inutile car vous connaissez la qualité et la valeur de ces appareils. C’est un ensemble que je revends à regret pour cause de déménagement et de réduction (place et volume) de mon système. L’ensemble, de seconde main sélectionnée, dans ce qu’il s’est fait de mieux en France, est très cohérent. Il serait donc préférable de le prendre sans le dissocier (et je serai le cas échéant concédant sur le prix global).
