C'est un oiseau? C'est un avion? Non, c'est une authentique figurine articulée de Superman dans le style des Maitres de l'Univers!Capturant la quintessence de l'Homme d'Acier version années 80, cette figurine représente Superman tel qu'il aurait pu apparaitre au sein de la gamme vintage des Maitres de l'Univers, suite à son apparition dans le cross-over de 1983 chez l'éditeur DC Comics. Non contents d'introduire enfin le Dernier Fils de Krypton dans la gamme MOTU, nous avons laissé libre cours à notre imagination en posant la question suivante: Quel évènement aurait pu découler de la présence de Superman dans un cross-over avec les Maîtres de l'Univers? Une réponse nous a semblé évidente: une guerre entre les Forces d'Eternia et les New Gods! L'illustration au dos du blister revèle donc les bases de cette histoire imaginaire, typique d'une gamme de jouets du milieu des années 80. As new and unplayed (there are virtually no 78s that can categorically be claimed to be unplayed). - N-. Nearly Mint, but has been played. No visible signs of wear or damage. - E+. Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of jackets. - E. Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches. - E-. Still shiny but without the lustre of a new record, few light scratches. - V+. An average condition 78 in which scuffs and general use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced - V. Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive. - V-. Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy greying in loud passages. Six of the album's eight songs are written, produced and largely performed by Prince, and he is listed as the executive producer of the whole album (although he is not believed to have had any input on the two tracks not written by him). First steps Prince (through manager Bob Cavallo) approached Mavis Staples about recording an album in Autumn 1987 after seeing her perform as part of The Staple Singers in August 1987 at The Forum, Inglewood, CA, USA. The group had been unsigned for 13 years, and Mavis Staples soon signed with Paisley Park Records. Recording process Work on the album began in February 1988, when Prince recorded Interesting. He sent the track, along with Jaguar (a vault track recorded in January 1987, originally intended for Sheena Easton), to Mavis Staples in Memphis, TN, USA, where she recorded lead vocals on both tracks using producers Al Bell, Homer Banks and Lester Snell at Ardent Studios. In late June 1988, shortly before leaving for the European opening of the Lovesexy Tour, Prince recorded Time Waits For No One for the album, and revised Come Home (initially recorded January 1987), I Guess I'm Crazy (initially recorded October 1987) and Train (initially recorded July 1986), and all four songs were sent to Mavis Staples for lead vocal overdubs. Prince and Mavis Staples did not work together in the studio on this album, therefore, although they did work together in late July 1988, in Olympic Studio, London, England, on God Is Alive, which was not considered for the album, as well as on later projects following the release of this album. Les signes de l'âge sont présents. Le cd a des rayures et marques qui n'affectent pas la qualité sonore. F = Etat moyen L'état de la pochette est proche de celui de VG- avec en plus des écritures, un papier gondolé à cause de l'humidité, des déchirures sur les bords... La qualité du son est détériorée par les nombreuses lectures, il peut y avoir des sautements.
