This is a an old vintage French violin with its 2 labels as pictured, b'"'M.COUTURIEUXb'"'. Violin made in Mirecourt in the 1920's. Please ask me for more pictures if it can help for authentification and provenance, however I have no reason to think this violin is not authentic, but I am not an expert... The length of the violin is 35,8 cm for the back only. It has a very elegant dark amber varnish on a golden base all over... The head is nicely curved and very expressive, handcrafted for sure. The inlaid purfling is beautiful and very precise, and the front and back are nicely carved. Rare French violin in a great used condition, no damages!! Please see detailed pictures.
