The mechanism was completely dismantled and all the parts are put into a watch-cleaning basket and then into the cleaning machine. The watch is then re-assembled by a similar reversed process with all relevant parts being greased and oiled to manufacturers requirements and guidelines. 2824 ETA No matter which of the 28XX family is powering your favorite watch, it’ll almost certainly be doing a fine job. **RELISTED DUE TO THE PREVIOUS SALE FALLING THROUGH** Eterna 852 vintage handwinding watch from 1942. This is in incredible condition with a beautiful patina - have a look at the pictures to see for yourself. It works perfectly keeping good time with excellent power reserve. The crown is firm and responsive, winding the watch to full capacity within around 20 winds. The dial measures 36mm without the crown. The lug width is 19mm (I wore it on a 20m strap). It's currently on a nice random leather strap from my bag of nice random leather straps, but put it on your favourite to really make it your own - it looks good on a variety of strap colours and styles. All in all this is a fantastic 79 year old vintage watch that is big enough to wear nowadays and functions as if it just came out of the factory in Switzerland - a superb example.
