They both have automatic exposure by Selenium cell, with automatic flash, advances automatic film, and are powered by a long life lithium batteries that at that time were replaced by the manufacturer but the internal OEM lithium batteries can be replaced with two common 123A batteries with a soldering iron and some difficulty (not worth it). The camera is provided with an f2.8 12.5mm lens, consisting of 4 elements in 4 groups. The optical glass is treated. The focusing is fixed to 1.2 meter to infinity, with a sliding lens position of closer focusing from 0.4 to 1.2 meter. The viewfinder has luminous framework with correction of parallax and indications of the symbols of focusing. The shutter speeds are 1/100 to 1/200 of a second and the aperture CDS controlled. The Disc 7 was introduced and sold by Minolta in 1983. The Disc 7 had one remarkable feature which stood it apart from other disc cameras. In the center of the front plate was a small convex mirror, which could be used by the photographer to compose a self-portrait. It also has a pivot arm with a carry strap hard point, shutter release socket, and a ¼” 20 thread tripod mount. The pivoting arm allows you to set the camera on a flat surface for a timed photo. Une partie importante concerne des disques soviétiques (SOV DISC) dont les pressages ont été réalisés en ex-URSS avec des pochettes françaises. Ces disques, dans leur immense majorité, n'ont jamais été joués ! Ceux qui ont été écoutés l'ont été 2/3 fois au maximum. Ayant séjourné dans un endroit sec mais non dépourvu de poussière, les disques n'ont été nettoyés que superficiellement avant que je ne les prenne en photo. Chaque collectionneur ayant sa propre méthode de nettoyage, je laisse le soin de cette délicate opération à leurs futurs propriétaires. Some refer to it as the "Secret Downliners Sect Album". It really never was........  Many theories and stories of how it came about have circulated over the years...  How it actually came about was thanks to a record producer friend of mine, Eddie Bourne. Eddie was asked to produce a Punk album, by a band called The Vacants. At the time Eddie felt the band needed augmenting for recording purposes, so he asked me to play guitar on the session...  Following on the back of the relative success of The Vacants album, I pursuaded Eddie to allow me to record a Punk album under the name F.U.2.  It all started out as a bit of a joke really. It was late 1970's that me and Keith Grant (2), of the Downliners Sect, set about to write the songs. Some of these we already had in the can that we thought would fit the bill, like "Out Of School", "Playin' My Guitar" which incidentally were later to appear on the Sects 'Showbiz' album. It wasn't long before ten other songs had been assembled and were ready to take into the studio.  As a band F.U.2 obviously never existed, so Keith and I enlisted musician friends to play on the session. Paul Holm was on drums, Robin Langridge on keyboards. Don Craine on rhythm guitar and Paul Tiller on blues harp were also co-opted to play on a couple of tracks. "Streets of Philadelphia" is a song written and performed by American rock musician Bruce Springsteen for the film Philadelphia (1993) starring Tom Hanks, an early mainstream film dealing with HIV/AIDS. Released as a single in 1994, the song was a hit in many countries, particularly in Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, and Norway, where it topped the singles charts. In the United States, the single peaked at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100. The song received acclaim and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song and four Grammy Awards: Song of the Year, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Vocal Performance, Solo, and Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television. In 2004, it finished at number 68 on AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs survey of top tunes in American cinema. Doc Holliday, although not as universally well known as those big selling, stubble sporting whiskey soaked troubadours, were an important, nay essential, addition to that linage of respected and revered musicians. Developing a reputation as one of the hottest acts on what was affectionately termed the chittlin’ circuit DH, or Roundhouse as they had been known, eventually courted the ears of various power players in the record business. Wined and dined by the cigar chomping executives at A&M Records they were eventually signed to a major contract in 1980. Introduced to renowned English record producer ‘Colonel’ Tom Allom (Judas Priest, Strawbs, Nantucket) the coupling appeared an unlikely marriage but the natural  bonhomie of both parties proved hugely infectious helping to create one of the most impressive debut albums from a Southern Rock band since the glory days of the Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
