Grey Matter E! for DX7II is a circuit board attached to the DX7IIFD, DX7IID  synthesizer main board that turns an otherwise normal DX7II-FD or DX7II-D into a fully featured workstation machine.     Expanded internal Memory   E! enlarges the internal RAM memory of your DX by four times and allows it to hold 256 single sounds (called Voices) and 128 Performance memories (multi-voice combinations).   The total internal memory is divided into 4 Banks. Each Bank holds 64 Voices and 32 Performances    - Bank 1 = 64 Voices/32 Performances  - Bank 2 = 64 Voices/32 Performances  - Bank 3 = 64 Voices/32 Performances  - Bank 4 = 64 Voices/32 Performances   Voices from all four banks can be combined into any of the Performance memories, meaning you're not limited to Voices found in just one Bank when creating a Performance Combination   Octal Mode Octal Mode is one of the most outstanding features of the E! expansion because it turns your DX7II into an 8 channel multitimbral sound module. All these EL84 have a mutual conductance up to 8 mA/V, most of them around 9,5 mA/V (11,3 mA/V when new 100%). They are fully usable in this condition. Nota: Les tubes que je propose à la vente mesurés le sont et en émission, et en transconductance (pente). En effet, la mesure de l’émission ne suffit pas à elle seule pour déterminer l'état d'un tube. C'est sa pente qui indique son potentiel en terme de durée de vie. Ainsi, par exemple, une ECC83 testée à 1.2 mA par triode à 250V/-2V pourrait sembler neuve car 100%= 1.2 mA. Hors, il se peut que sa pente mesurée ne soit seulement que de 1,3 mA/V par triode au lieu de 1,6 mA/V (100%). Cela signifie que ce tube a déjà été longuement utilisé et est en fait à 80% de son rendement nominal. Son émission était donc à l'origine bien supérieure au 1.2 mA mesuré (comme on le constate régulièrement sur les productions anciennes), peut-être à 1,5 mA ou plus. A l'inverse, une EL84 mesurée à 41mA à 250V/250V/-7,3V pourrait sembler user puisqu'elle ne débite pas 48mA, mais si sa pente est de 11,5mA/V (nominal neuf à 11,3mA/V), elle est bel et bien neuve. Donc la mesure la plus importante à prendre en considération pour choisir un tube est sa pente en mA/V obtenue avec les paramètres de la datasheet du fabricant. English Nota: Measured tubes I sell are measured both in emission and mutual condutance (Gm). Indeed, measuring emission only is useless to know the tube's condition. It's its mutual condutance which indicates its potential lifetime. For instance, an ECC83 measured at 1.2 mA per triode at 250v/-2v could seem to be new as 100%= 1.2 mA. But, its mutual conductance once measured could only be 1,3 mA/V per triode instead of 1,6 mA/V (100%). It means that the tube was already extensively used and is only at 80% of what it was supposed to deliver when new. When new, its emission was higher than the 1.2 mA measured, maybe 1,5 mA or more per triode. This tube could not be considered as new and can't be sold as new. An other example with an EL84 measured at 41mA at 250V/250V/-7.3V would seem to be used as it should give 48mA when new, but if its mutual conductance is 11,5mA/V (11,3mA/V when new), it is strictly new. So the most important measurement to consider to choose a tube is its mutual conductance measured in mA/V according to the datas of the maker's datasheet. Informations: Lot de tubes en vente.
