I tried the Hasselblad mirrorless X1D, the fuji GFX50s (dreadfull experience with the laziest AF in the world and a poor battery life), theGFX100 (much better experience, but I wasn’t impressed by image quality and rendering…must be the glass), and I always come back to the Pentax 645z. I have never been impressed by Fuji GFX image quality. Then came the 90mm macro f2.8, stabilized as well and weather sealed. This may simply be the best lens I’ve ever used for portrait work, incredibly smooth yet detailed. Build like real lenses with metal, feels solid. Image quality was amazing too, I capture incredible shots of tigers with it, and this lens can really tell stories and add a unique identity. All the lenses are incredible, sharp, and each with unique though I must admit the 150mm f2.8, even though hailed as the portrait king by some other photographers, was often left on the shelf.
