Read the description in english below Emerson 888 "Pioneer"  (1958) Radio emblématique de la période mythique définie comme "l'Age de l'Espace". Elle doit son nom aux sondes spatiales Pioneer, dont la première avait été lancée par la NASA le 11 octobre 1958. Il y eut ensuite d'autres déclinaisons de cette radio sur ce même châssis, nommées "Vanguard" (première fusée lanceuse de satellites), "Atlas" (fusée du programme Mercury), "Explorer" (satellite lancé par une fusée Vanguard), et "Satellite". Très bon état cosmétique général. Complet, rien ne manque. Tous les composants sont d'origine. Quelques usures normales. Il n'y a ni éclats, ni fissures, ni craquelures sur cette radio, et seulement quelques très légères zones d'usure de peinture (voir photos). Le support orientable est présent. Fonctionne comme au premier jour (à condition d'avoir des émetteurs PO à capter, ce qui se fait rare en Europe, sauf par exemple en Espagne). Et de fait, la nuit, ce poste capte plusieurs émetteurs espagnols depuis la Bretagne (environ 600 km de distance)... C'est l'un des premiers postes à transistors à être commercialisé au grand public. Le transistor semi-conducteur au germanium avait été inventé peu de temps auparavant dans les laboratoires de la Bell Company par les Américains John Bardeen, William Shockley et Walter Brattain, qui reçurent le prix Nobel de physique en 1956. She had seen the Graffiti Bridge movie several times and had contacted Prince saying the movie spoke to her and reflected things she had written in her own notebook. He recorded and submitted Love... Pochette VG avec traces d'usures localisées sur coins et bords, ancienne  trace d'humidité sur l'arriere coin gauche, qui reste encore solide. Taches légères et salissures anciennes disséminées sur l'arrière de la pochette. Présence de la pochette intérieure originale Blue Note. Elle est en très mauvais état mais sera donnée pour conserver ce document. Pochette generique ancienne mais propre  la remplaçant. VG + minimum for the vinyl record. Vinyl still glossy, hairlines marks without consequence on the audio quality, Play very well without skips, jumps etc...Label ok with no writing VG for the jacket. The sleeve has wear to all four corners, along the spine, and throughout. Stains dessiminated on the back. Old moisture trace on left down corner, now corner is solid. No writing. Contains original inner sleeve (bad condition). I let it with the album for this historic document, and furnish an old generic one, (white) more clean...
