ORIGINAL Record by Metallica - Ride The Lightning LP made by Bernett Records in France with missprint on color cover. Bernett SB 18026 Bernett France print few copies in green before realized their mistake and printed after in blue like all others country. This missprint done one of the most hard to find Mets items. Black media of course. Comes with original insert. Really in great condition. Media is excellent. Think we can say NM. I don't play it since 1986 (bought in CD this year). Sleeve are really great VG+ (almost NM but this LP have 36 years old). Be careful when you want to find this rare LP: there have been bootleg reissues of this record in color vinyl, don't be fooled: the only real and original bernett green cover version is the one with the black vinyl. The Matrix of this record I am selling is " SB 18026 A" for side A and "SB 18026 B" for side B. both hand etched in the run out  you should be aware that the bootleg has matrix "PA7955 ORLAKE" Also check the back side of my cover, on the left, the white lightning is all the way to the left, on the bootleg the lightning is not all the way to the spine of the cover ! Often rumored but rarely seen, Mint should never be used as a grade unless more than one person agrees that the record or sleeve truly is in this condition. *Note: I almost never use MINT grade, I think it should only be used for perfect new sealed records or perfect "still in shrink" records. I could occasionally add an additional conservative grade of [NM+] to this guide to describe perfect records, even if not new sealed or not "still in shrink". NEAR MINT (NM OR M-)** A good description of a NM record is “it looks like it just came from a retail store and it was opened for the first time.” In other words, it’s nearly perfect. Many dealers won’t use a grade higher than this, implying (perhaps correctly) that no record or sleeve is ever truly perfect. NM records are shiny, with no visible defects. CHARLES MINGUS THE CLOWN Atlantic 1260 -  US 1961 - LP - Reissue MONO VG+. État : Occasion Disque en très bon état VG + à VG ++ Testé sur ma platine: quelques griffures éraflures superficielles sans conséquence. Un peu de faibles crépitements du à l'age dans les parties silencieuses ou calmes. L'audio est très bon Pochette en état moyen: VG Très légère usure aux coins, décollement sur le devant et près de l'ouverture de la fine couverture glacée qui a été recollée. Ca ne se voit pas trop car dans l'image il ya deja beaucoup d'effets de  plis avec le bord inferieur du masque, le haut de l'habit qui est plissé. Le reste du devant de la pochette est assez frais et bien glacé. La tranche OK avec texte bien lisible. Le dos de la pochette a un souci au niveau inferieur gauche: Trace ancienne d'humidité qui a décollé et enlevé le bord du papier blanc. On voit le rabat glacé cartonné du dessous qui est encore ferme et l'incident ne serait pas trop grave. Le reste du dos de la pochette est ok avec des traces d'age relativement légères. Sous pochette d'origine mais en mauvais état au niveau de l'ouverture, qui a été coupé proprement pour pouvoir conserver ce document d'origine Disc condition: VG + à VG++ Not much wear. Surfaces have some minor scratches (hairlines) that don't affect sound quality. Light crackle due to age, in the quiet passage or at some points,  not affecting music quality.  Label undamaged, unmarked. Great Audio Cover condition: VG shows signs of age. Laminated picture re englued near the opening, (right of the mouth) not too noticeable,  hidden by  the folds of the mask, dress of the clown Rest is still ok, glossy, spine with no damage On the back, damage on the left corner, (old moisture trace) with corner of the white paper missing. corner carboard flip ok and still rigid Original Inner sleeve carefully cutted to remove old moisture traces at its opening. C’est aussi la note pour une pochette superbe mais ou il manque l’insert ou autre chose.   G Good The record displays considerable surface noise, visible but non-deep scratches, but still it’s playable and enjoyable and it does not jump.The cover shows strong wear, creasing, spine splits, cut out hole, pen marks or tears but is still in one piece. Bon Le disque comporte beaucoup de rayures il craque beaucoup. Néanmoins il ne saute pas et il n’est pas rayé. L’écoute est toujours possible. La pochette est très usée, voir un peu déchirée, elle comporte des écritures néanmoins elle est toujours entière. This is generally the grade given to a 20 to 50 years old record with a "normal" life, treated with care, but listened and handled regularly by his former owner. VG + (VERY GOOD +) Has been played a lot, shows multiple slight surface marks (hairlines) generating background noise between songs but no jump or skips. Cover shows important signs of age and storage (slice corners worn, name, date, dedication, tears, etc....). Generally, this record was one of the favorites among previous owner discotheque, went from hand to hand, had to animate some parties and bears the scars of a busy life. VG (VERY GOOD) The record is very worn, has been played a lot, shows important scratches that are creating permanent background noises but do not skip or jump. The cover is well worn, torn important corner and edge wear, significant traces of marker pen or... well, the previous grade but more accentuated. G (GOOD) Has been played to the hilt (but still playable on some titles), many scratches, crackles a lot while playing, may have jumps or sticks. The cover is very damaged. État : Occasion  - Used Avec GATEFOLD ETAT / CONDITION Pour le vinyl, VG++ soit très bon état du disque qui joue parfaitement, très dynamique avec puissance, relief, etc... avec très peu de bruits de fond, tels que crépitements qui peuvent etre cependant faiblement perceptibles dans les plages calmes. Présence de deux fines griffures assez longues, (trace du saphir) face 1 et 2, qui sont sans consequence sur la qualité audio et imperceptibles à l'écoute. Le disque est nettoyé. La pochette est G - VG avec décollement de la pellicule sur l'arrière et au bord de l'ouverture. Elle a été recollée mais taches de colle visibles (voir photo). En résumé la pochette présente des traces d'usures importantes, ce qui semble en partie logique vue son âge (ce n'est pas une copie quasi neuve) Pochette intérieure Atlantic, vrai original en état moyen. (usure au bord de l'ouverture) A noter et c'est important que la pochette est celle prévue pour le stereo. Cependant deux stickers ou est inscrit " MONO" sont collés sur l'arrière de la pochette (voir photo). Egalement gros sticker " barclay en direct des USA distribution exclusive". On peut en deduire que Barclays et Atlantic ont pu etre à cours de pochette mono pour l'export du mono et qu'ils ont utilisés des pochettes stereo en dépannage...Quoiqu'il en soit le disque est bien mono avec les bons numeros sur le runout(voir paragraphe du dessous) Vinyl Record: VG ++, plays excellent, great audio with a few light crackling at some point, in the quiet passage The sleeve is G, VG with  wear large enough, small stains inside the gotefold, wear at the corners...glue stain marks on the back, etc (see pictures) Original Atlantic inner sleeve in about VG conditions(wear on the opening of the inner sleeve) Please, note an official Special stickers " mono" glued on the back. Il a été peu écouté et il joue excellent. Disque nettoyé et testé. Pochette VG avec traces d'usures localisées sur coins et bords, ancienne  trace d'humidité sur l'arriere coin gauche, qui reste encore solide. Taches légères et salissures anciennes disséminées sur l'arrière de la pochette. Présence de la pochette intérieure originale Blue Note. Elle est en très mauvais état mais sera donnée pour conserver ce document. Pochette generique ancienne mais propre  la remplaçant. VG + minimum for the vinyl record. Vinyl still glossy, hairlines marks without consequence on the audio quality, Play very well without skips, jumps etc...Label ok with no writing VG for the jacket. The sleeve has wear to all four corners, along the spine, and throughout. Stains dessiminated on the back. Old moisture trace on left down corner, now corner is solid. No writing. Dumay est exceptionnel, impérial, pas une faute de goût, pas une baisse de tension. Et Collard…colle, absolument remarquable. On ne redira jamais assez que ces musiciens sont exceptionnels. Je retrouve chez ces deux-là la fusion qui caractérise le couple Perlman/Ashkenazy dans leurs Beethoven.
