The DAC has been modified to address the rather notorious intermodulation distortion issues most ESS 9038Q2M DAC implementations suffer from ("ESS IMD hump"). Measurements with a professional audio analyzer show that the issue has been completely fixed (before and after IMD vs. amplitude graph included).
