TWIN-SIZE DOUBLE-SIDED QUILT EN FRANCE

This quilt is a little heavier and softer than most because BOTH sides have been pieced.   It measures approximately 95” long and 66” wide.   It is big enough to be a twin-sized quilt and might fit a full-sized bed if you don’t need a large drop on the sides.   This is a machine quilted “Quilt-As-You-Go” quilt made by Brenda Blakeman (Knoxville, Maryland).   She is a long-time friend and quilter and is amazing at her craft.   With this technique, we don’t see any top stitching, the seams lie in between the front and back of the quilts.   The material will continue to lie as if it has been quilted on the top, though!   It uses all cotton fabrics and I'm thinking polyester thread and 80/20 batting (80% cotton, 20% polyester.   In caring for this quilt, wash cold cycle, tumble dry with little to no heat.   This quilt has been pre-washed for that worn-in, cozy, and crinkly look.   The quilt is primarily made from green, red, and beige fabrics, many with floral prints.   The dark red binding (edge) of the quilt has been hand sewn onto the quilt (the best way to do it, in my opinion.)   My favorite park of the quilt is the wide floral border on what I would call the top of the quilt.   It helps pull all the coordinating colors together.   I will happily answer any additional questions you may have regarding the quilt if you’re considering its purchase.   Thank you for looking!
