She is cited as an example by the Catholic Church for all Catholic families. "The shepherds came in haste, and they found Mary and Joseph with the newborn lying in a manger" 1. The liturgical feast celebrating this Holy Family of Nazareth was established by the Church in 1893 and today set for the Sunday immediately following the feast of Christmas. St Joseph, husband of Mary, is celebrated on March 19 and Saint Joseph craftsman on May 1. Reverse of the medal : PIUS XII PONTIFEX MAXIMUS /  signed: Mistruzzi Pope Pius XII (Italian: Pio XII), born Eugenio Maria Giuseppe Giovanni Pacelli, 2 March 1876 – 9 October 1958), was head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State from 2 March 1939 to 1958 when he died. Before his election to the papacy, he served as secretary of the Department of Extraordinary Ecclesiastical Affairs, papal nuncio to Germany, and Cardinal Secretary of State, in which capacity he worked to conclude treaties with European and Latin American nations, such as the Reichskonkordat with Nazi Germany. Le graveur:  Mistruzzi est né en 1880 et était également connu pour son travail en dehors du Vatican. Au Vatican, on se souvient le plus de lui pour son travail de médaillé, à partir de 1910. Il a produit un total de 330 médailles, la plus célèbre étant la série de médailles papales de 1929 qu'il a créée pour le pape Pie XI.
