Hobby/practice cutting rubbed opal rough with many small bright colors thin crystal pieces- see notes   This is a 36 Carat total (7.2 gram) lot of small or thin Lightning Ridge (with some coober pedy) Crystal and Dark Opal Rough, opal rubs and rubbed rough opal pieces. Most all of these pieces have bright flashing sections or deep color, or offcut/rubbed sections exposing great color or bright flash.  These have very nice crystal opal/semi-black opal colors but, are very small or the exposed color / flash sections color lines are thin. others may have sand spots as seen in the pictures.  These might be best for someone who can polish or carve small stones. As they are raw opal, some pieces do have sand or potch sections.  The pictures are of the stones shown wet and some are macro close ups pics under LED light to show color potential when polished. (NOTE: these are on a black background and that brings out the bright color glow in the stones when wet) The pieces range in size from as small as 8mm wide up to as large as 25mm across. Thickness is as small as 2mm up to 6mm thick. (the ruler in the pictures is in Millimeters).. As with any rough opal no guarantees these will cut stone, but the pictures are a good representation of color.  These are rough or thin so will need delicate finishing / polishing, may be good for use in floating opal or wire wrap projects. This is a 4 piece 36.7 Carat total lot of small Lightning Ridge Crystal Opal Rough for cutting/carving . (please see ruler in pictures, it is in millimeters and these are close up pictures)  (one piece appears to be a bright fossil section, one is a sandy offcut which bright gem section) These are small or thin but colorful pieces that have nice purple or multicolor glow. Most have bright internal color line or section, but uneven skin that needs clearing. (be used to hand cutting or working with thin / small material) These have very nice sections crystal opal or sparkle but due to thin nature, intended for projects needing small opal pieces or someone used to cutting odd or very thin pieces since the color sections are small or very thin and delicate. As they are raw opal, some pieces have sand or potch sections.  The pictures are of the stones shown wet and macro close ups pics under LED light to bring out possible color potential when polished. As with any opal rough, no guarantees that they will cut gems, but pictures are representative of potential.  . This is a 5 piece 8.75 Carat total lot of small or thin Lightning Ridge Black /Semi-black and Crystal Opal Rough. Theses are odd shaped or have sand or uneven potch sections. NOTE- these are mostly chip size This is a 76.2 Carat total parcel of small or thin Australian Mintabie Opal Rough and Chips. Some Black and Crystal Opal Rough. Many pieces have bright flashing or gem rainbow multi color.  These have very nice crystal opal colors but most are very small,  might be best for someone who want to do mosaic or facet small stones. As they are raw opal, some pieces do have sandstone or potch sections. Quelques Opales noires et cristallines brutes. Beaucoup de pièces ont des couleurs vives et clignotantes ou des couleurs arc-en-ciel.  Ceux-ci ont de très belles couleurs d'opale de cristal mais la plupart sont très petits, peut-être mieux pour quelqu'un qui veut faire la mosaïque ou facetter de petites pierres. Comme il s'agit d'opale brute, certaines pièces présentent des sections de grès ou de potasse. (le paquet contient quelques pièces qui ne sont pas de la taille d'une puce et qui montrent une couleur au centre). Les photos sont des pierres montrées mouillées et des photos macro rapprochées sous la lumière LED pour faire ressortir le potentiel de couleur. (NOTE: ces photos sont prises sur un fond noir, ce qui fait ressortir la couleur brillante des pierres lorsqu'elles sont mouillées).  La taille des pièces varie de 5 mm de large à 17 mm de large.. (la règle dans les photos est en millimètres). Comme indiqué sur les photos, quelques pièces ont des sections de grès ou de matrice. Ces pièces sont brutes et fines, certaines sont délicates et d'autres sont assez grandes pour être finies / polies, mais la plupart peuvent être utilisées dans des projets d'opales flottantes ou de fil de fer. Ces articles seront expédiés de la France par la poste régulière, alors attendez-vous à un certain retard si vous êtes à l'étranger. 2 Piece lot total 64.5carats (12,9gms) Mintabie Opal Rough specimens to cut. One piece has a thin multicolor bar running the entire length. The other has an exposed crystal tip with multicolor sparkle (does not run all the way into rough) These are being sold as a specimens due to gamble nature of color sections. (Please look at all pictures when considering).  There is not as much mining coming from the Mintabie area, so availability of rough like this will become rarer.  The Pieces are 30mm x 10mm and 35mm x10mm  The stones have not been cut, but cutting/dremel carving some areas may yield some colorful stones or wire wrap gems. The pictures are close ups of the stones wet under LED light to highlight color areas. I rotated the stones and one of the pictures has a ruler in millimetres to show size.  Note: as seen in pictures, this piece does have sand/imperfections (look at all pictures to see that several areas have low color or fractures) As with any rough, no guarantees as to the quality of stone it may or may not cut.
