A small black screw retouch mark on an internal metal retaining ring (see front photos) comes from an internal clean some while ago and does not affect performance in any way (tested with film as above). Mechanical & Electonic: Tested before advertising. All functions ‘as good as new’. Zoom and focus rings are smooth, firm, precise. Auto / manual diapraghm action crisp. Optical: Glass clean and clear; no fungus or haze. Few internal dust specs, no effect on optical performance, which is ‘as good as new’. Front filter always fitted. OK, this is something special. It came in with a Minolta AF-S (also for sale separately). It appears to be a custom, one-of-a-kind leather case designed specifically for that camera. It appears to be made of something like ostrich leather, crazy as that sounds. The stitching is precise, and the inside has a soft lining. There is a cutout along the top rear edge that provides access to the AF-S's viewfinder and flash release. I am almost positive this is not a commercial product: there is no branding, and there is no tripod screw attachment in the bottom of the case, yet it precisely holds an AF-S (as seen in the pictures).
