Nice E-Mu ESI 4000 Sampler, In good clean condition and full working order. ESI is the very latest in the long line of high quality and affordable E-mu sampling products. ESI features 22.05 kHz and 44.1 kHz sampling rates and 16-bit resolution for CD quality sound. Sampling can be performed in either mono or true stereo. 64 channels of polyphony allow you to stack sounds or create lush sequences without fear of channel “ripoff”. The user-upgradable memory can be expanded to a maximum of 128 Mbytes using standard SIMM modules (Details and installation are available at your E-mu dealer).   The ESI has full access to the huge library of sounds available from E-mu and other sources. It is fully compatible with the legendary EIII and EIIIX libraries, and can import Emax II and Akai S1000/S1100 banks. In many cases, the ESI can import and convert programs faster than the source unit!   The advanced features of the ESI make sampling easy. Samples can be automatically truncated, normalized and placed on the keyboard as the sample is taken. ESI also contains advanced tools such as Auto Correlation, Loop Compression and Crossfade Looping which allow even the most difficult sounds to be easily looped.   Samples can be digitally spliced and mixed with other samples, and dynamically controlled from the keyboard using velocity and positional crossfading and switching functions. Advanced digital processing features such as Sample Rate Conversion, Compressor, Digital Parametric Equalizer and Digital Tuning allow you to shape raw samples more quickly and with greater precision than computer based systems. Additional digital processing functions include: Time Compression and Expansion, which shorten or lengthen the time of samples without changing the pitch; and Doppler/Pan, which allows you to move samples forward and backwards in space as well as from side to side. The Sonic Enhancer adds brilliance and cut to a sample, helping it to stand out in a mix.   The ESI contains 19 different filters types for each of its 64 channels. It has set a new standard for real-time loudness control and format conversion, and pioneered support of both analog and digital feeds from one and the same machine. Both DB-4 and DB-8 employ cutting edge technology to enable stations get rid of listener complaints about jumping levels, and to transmit in analog and digital with optimum processing for both feeds. DB-4 includes the same processing and I/O capabilities as DB-8, except for holding two separate processors, instead of the four inside DB-8. For example, one DB-4 can apply different processing to four mono, two stereo or two 5.1signals, or to a combination such as one stereo and one 5.1 signal. Compatibility between DB-4 and DB-8 DB-4 and DB-8 are preset compatible. If you know how to operate one of the them, you know how to operate both. DB-8 is primarily designed for large broadcast centers, while DB-4 may be a more appropriate match for OB linking or a regional station, but they share the same processing, the same presets and the same physical I/O structure - and even the same program to control them. Comes in its original Schoeps wooden box with a Schuko power cord (France), a stereo XLR cable (5 pins) and a XLR split Y cable. The DSP-4 KFM 360 is a 24-bit processor unit. Together with the sphere microphone KFM 360 and two bidirectional compact condenser microphones CCM 8L, it forms a compact 5.1 surround recording system with excellent spatial imaging capability. The processor derives the six 5.1 surround channels from only four microphone signals (the two pressure transducers in the KFM 360 plus two figure-8s) and offers a wide range of selectable settings. This permits flexible adaptation to the particular acoustic conditions of the recording venue, since the choice of directional pattern affects the amount of reverberant energy that will be picked up. If the unprocessed microphone signals are recorded (four channels), the effective directional settings can be chosen retroactively during post-production playback. The center channel signal is derived from the front channels by a matrix. An additional channel contains only a low-frequency signal up to 80 Hz, which is obtained by summing the pressure transducer outputs and reducing the total level by 6 dB. Schoeps DSP-4 KFM 360 This unit is in good cosmetic condition and turns on, but I did not test it myself with mikes. It is a former demo unit from the exclusive Schoeps French distributor Areitec. I bought it from them in 2017, so it should be in good working condition. Original invoice is available. I never had any opportunity to use this fantastic piece of gear. Sold as is. Comes in its original Schoeps wooden box with a Schuko power cord (France), a stereo XLR cable (5 pins) and a XLR split Y cable. The DSP-4 KFM 360 is a 24-bit processor unit. Together with the sphere microphone KFM 360 and two bidirectional compact condenser microphones CCM 8L, it forms a compact 5.1 surround recording system with excellent spatial imaging capability. The processor derives the six 5.1 surround channels from only four microphone signals (the two pressure transducers in the KFM 360 plus two figure-8s) and offers a wide range of selectable settings. The primary characteristics of the DSP-4 KFM 360 are:  – analog and digital inputs and outputs  – integrated 48 Volt phantom powering and microphone preamplification  – built-in equalization for the microphones  – digital processing can be performed during or after the actual recording  – analog control “feel”  – capability to store control “presets”  – directionality of the front and rear channel microphones is independently selectable  – the stereo basis width of the front channels is independently variable  – adjustable time delay and low-pass filtering for the rear channels  – sampling rate 44.1, 48 or 96 kHz, 24 bit In addition to amplifying the microphone signals, in the “B: SURR” operating mode the DSP-4 KFM 360 provides compensation for the low-frequency response of the figure-8 microphones and appropriate diffuse-field equalization for the pressure transducers. The front-channel outputs result from summing the outputs of the pressure transducers with the outputs of the figure-8s, while the rear-channel outputs result from subtracting these signals (see drawing on next page). The resulting “virtual microphones” face frontward and backward as do the actual figure-8s. The directional patterns of the front- and rear-facing “virtual microphones” may be set independently, from omnidirectional through cardioid all the way to figure-8 (though the extreme settings are of only limited usefulness). This permits flexible adaptation to the particular acoustic conditions of the recording venue, since the choice of directional pattern affects the amount of reverberant energy that will be picked up. If the unprocessed microphone signals are recorded (four channels), the effective directional settings can be chosen retroactively during post-production playback. The center channel signal is derived from the front channels by a matrix. An additional channel contains only a low-frequency signal up to 80 Hz, which is obtained by summing the pressure transducer outputs and reducing the total level by 6 dB. I am selling my Aaron preamplifier because I have decided to upgrade to an integrated valve amplifier. The device is in excellent condition with no marks to note and i have used it in conjunction with my Meridian power amplifier to great affect. It comes with a solid aluminum remote control and manual. See the image for all input / output options. Unfortunately I don't have the original box but rest assured i will package the unit safely for transportation including a double box.   I bought it from a hifi enthusiast (like me) and critic in Montpellier about 2 years ago. He had it about 4 years before that. He told me he even preferred the Aaron to his Ayre preamplifier. This amplifier is still in production and can be purchased direct from Aaron (aaron-amplifiers (point) com) for € 3000. The cineast # 22 is designed as a home theater preamplifier, but it also performs amazingly in a 2 channel hi-fi setup. It is a pure analogue unit wth no digital processing involved. There is a good review on Hifiplus if you are looking for it.   It would be best to arrange delivery once we have a sale as i would recommend insured delivery with UPS.
