Working with documents Since plenty of documents out there are in A4 PDF, the device's 10,3" size is perfect. You just upload the PDF in the reMarkable app on your computer or mobile device, and the device will sync. You then can use your marker to highlight text parts, circle them and write notes in the margins. If you're working on Chrome, you can install an add-on and just print a website to reMarkable as well. There's a small catch, though: While e-books are supported, DRM protection is not. If you work with scientific papers, that might not be an issue, for classical e-books it might. Sketching With different writing tools which are sensitive to pressure an tilt, you can produce great sketches. Taking notes You can handwrite notes on the reMarkable, have them converted to text and send it via email directly from the tablet. From my own experience I can say that taking handwritten notes is way less distracting in meetings and interviews than typing on your laptop. Live screen share ⇒ graphics tablet In the desktop app you can see everything you draw live in a window, and share that window in video conferences. In that sense it might be used similar to a graphics tablet. This feature is currently in Beta. Open Linux Platform For those who would like to push the device further, great news: The reMarkable runs on Linux, and you have root access via SSH.
