Craig also did an unbelievable job of gathering first-hand accounts from the survivors to put the reader directly on the front lines. To learn the whole truth about this tragedy of WWII history I highly recommend this book.

Le Helios 44 est la copie russe du Carl Zeiss Biotar. C'est la version 13 lames de diaph. J'inclus l'adaptateur M39-42. Il y a une inclusion (une bulle) qui est en photo #7. C'est très classique pour ces premieres versions. Le rendu de cette objectif est très joli.  Les bagues fonctionnent très bien, un peu d'huile sur les lames. Quelques particules à l'intérieur mais sans effet sur les photos prissent. Je l'ai beaucoup utilisé en vidéo 4K. Avec ses deux bouchons Russian Helios-44 lens M39 mount. Early lens with 13 aperture blades. The item included a M42 adapter, that gives the correct position relative to the M42 camera.  Few marks on the front glass, some inclusions and one air bubble inside glass (see picture #7), perfect general condition Focusing is easy Some oil on apertures blade.
