The Korg D8 is a portable multitrack recording device.  The device is compact enough to be transported on the road, but also powerful enough to hold multi-layered song recordings for mixing and post-production. The D8 contains both analog and digital capabilities, and is therefore suitable as part of an electronic MIDI chain or as a traditional recording device. Registration The Korg D8 lets you record up to eight individual audio tracks per song. Tracks 1 through 6 are designated for monophonic recording - or using a single audio input (like a guitar cable) - while tracks 7 and 8 are used exclusively for stereo recording (left and right). Hard disk The D8 packs 1.4 GB of hard drive space, which translates to 34 minutes of recording using the total capacity of 8 tracks. Since the D8 does not use tapes or CDs, you can transfer your recordings from the hard drive to an external source such as a computer, tape recorder or external disc player, using the RCA outputs (red and white), the SCSI port or the digital S / PDIF interface. Display screen The black and white LCD screen allows you to browse and access your saved song files, edit and delete the contents of your hard drive, apply effects and equalize your recordings. Use the round value dial and arrow keys to navigate your onscreen options. Optional track coupling If you want to record all of your tracks in stereo rather than mono, you can use the D8 as a four-track recorder by pairing your tracks. For example, if you pair tracks one and two using the pairing buttons on the corresponding channel strips, track one becomes channel “L” or “left”, and track two becomes channel “R” or " law ". Editing The D8 functions as a portable mixer with its volume faders, pan knobs and EQ knobs track by track. Each channel strip contains all of these characteristics, so you can adjust each song in your mix to suit your needs. Use the volume sliders at the bottom of the D8 to set the appropriate levels for each track; use the “Pan” buttons to move each recording between the center, right and left channels; and use the “EQ” buttons to adjust the audio frequencies. You can adjust precise equalization parameters using the LCD display. Whatever the motivation, software has to be a more economical option for a developer, even if, as in the case of Neuron VS, the software comes with a hardware controller. Tooling up for a rack Neuron, on the other hand, would have produced another mega-thousand-pound product. Refreshing The Neurons The original Neuron created quite a stir when it was announced by promising a new approach to synthesis and sound creation, and anyone who heard one, as I did while attending the Frankfurt Music Fair during its launch year, couldn't ignore the range and volume of sounds it produced. I was continuously reminded of the Neuron's impact as it swooped and roared in the background of an interview that I recorded at that show. Now the attractive concept of running that technology from your computer desktop has created a stir of its own. The Neuron VS package consists of two parts, one hardware and one software (as this review was approaching completion, a second software component, Modelmaker, was added to the bundle — see the boxout for more on this). The hardware element is the USB-driven Nuke remote control unit, which offers a single stick controller — the X-Y joystick, of which there are four on the original Neuron keyboard — and four assignable continuous controllers. Neuron VS, the software component, is essentially the synth engine from the original Neuron in plug-in form. Obviously, the keyboard version has the advantage of its own dedicated hardware, so its performance is not dependent on the power of your CPU or the amount of RAM you have installed, as is the case with Neuron VS. The keyboard version also offers surround-sound audio compatibility, future plans for audio-input processing and four-part multitimbrality. But the rest remains largely the same. For the benefit of those unfamiliar with the original, a quick recap is in order.

Grey Matter E! for DX7II is a circuit board attached to the DX7IIFD, DX7IID  synthesizer main board that turns an otherwise normal DX7II-FD or DX7II-D into a fully featured workstation machine.     Expanded internal Memory   E! enlarges the internal RAM memory of your DX by four times and allows it to hold 256 single sounds (called Voices) and 128 Performance memories (multi-voice combinations).   The total internal memory is divided into 4 Banks. I sell a set of 2 JP-08 + all boxes and packing + paper manual + 1 midi cable + 1 audio cable + 2 power supply and USB cables + 2 brackets. The first JP-08 is in perfect condition. No scratches. Like new. The second one has some minor scratches due to a cable that was placed in the box by mistake.  These two JP-08 are working perfectly. So this set is ready for a full 8 voices JP-08 in chain mode like the original Jupiter 8. The first thing that strikes you when you see the JP-08 is how professional it looks and feels - it's a diminutive metal fronted, plastic box with sturdy feeling short throw, orange-lit sliders and solid dials. As the unit is so compact, it fits nicely into a small rucksack, giving you a lot of sonic power to work with. On the move, on sessions or on stage this is a real bonus. Selecting patches is done Jupiter-8 style, with eight preset buttons to the left (64 patches total) and eight patch presets (which contain upper/lower/dual patches) to the right which all glow a pinky-orange. Type in the patch you want and off you go, though there's no patch naming so you need to remember numbers. The Patch Number/Patch Preset buttons also work in combination with the Manual and Dual buttons to select hidden functions (as listed in the compact manual) and to choose from solo (legato mono) unison (stacked mono) and poly (4-voice chord) modes. The buttons also act as 16-step buttons for the sequencer. The sound is so fantastic ! The JP-08 Boutique is identical to the actual Roland Jupiter 8 in sound, and editing, capabilities.  It uses the acclaimed Boutique ACB (Analogue Circuit Behaviour) modelling technology to emulate the original Jupiter-8's circuitry and the way those circuits interact/behave.  Sonically, the JP-08 gets right in the ballpark of the original Jupiter-8 and displays that recognizable smooth yet gritty character in terms of its filters (HPF and 12/24dB LPF), modulation and waves. I have never been so pleased with a synthesizer purchase as the JP-08 in 25 years of production experience.  One JP-08 has  4 voices max, but because this auction is for 2 JP-08, you can link them in chain mode for 8 voices.  The "chain mode" synchronizes all master parameters to the slave one.   With a master keyboard, 2 Roland JP-08 are the way to go for a real Jupiter 8 sound, and editing, especially in DUAL mode. 10/10 rating !
