Up for sale is a near mint example of the famous Brinkmann Fein Phono Stage. A stunning sounding unit that will accommodate any MM or MC cartridge. Adjustable load at the back, adjustable volume control at front which even enables straight connection to a power amp for an all-analogue purist system - but will easily work and sound equally stunning with line preamps or integrated amps. Amazing transparency and level of detail, with a very slight touch of harmonic warmth and unbelievable dynamics / soundstage. Only selling as part of funding the upgrade to its MUCH more expensive bigger brother Marconi. Complete with external power supply, granite slab and original power cables. Wherever still available, the Fein retails for 2990.00 EUR (recommended list price), and is worth every cent of that.  From the Brinkmann website: Phono stage »Fein« (discontinued)   The black finish hides yet another«Golden Oldie». ETAT DU LECTEUR Façade en très bon état. Quelques traces et marques sur le  dessus (cf photos) La courroie du tiroir ainsi que les tampons amortisseurs de la tête de lecture sont neufs. Ces éléments ont été récemment remplacés  par un professionnel.  La  tête de lecture est d'origine (Philips CDM-12.4).  Pour le moment, elle a été conservée car globalement, la platine fonctionne bien. La mécanique est très réactive.  La platine lit des cds gravés sans difficulté  mais il  peut arriver,  sur des cds mal gravés ou en mauvais état,  que la platine se mette en erreur du type "error" ou "no disc".  Cela est rare mais dans le temps,  un remplacement de la tête de lecture   CDM12.4,  que l'on trouve facilement sur le net, devra  peut-être être envisagé.   QUALITE SONORE Ce lecteur vintage, sommet de la gamme Stage du constructeur français Micromega est doté d' une très grande réputation  auprès des audiophiles pour des raisons évidentes.  Il possède un superbe rendu, une musicalité  d'un très grand naturel,  sans agressivité.    Les instruments sonnent juste et  les voix sont retranscrites avec un réalisme sonore impressionnant.  L'image sonore est ample, la spatialisation remarquable. PARTICULARITES Le lecteur a de nombreuses fonctions uniques. Un mode d'emploi en français sera fourni. Par exemple, lorsque l'on raccorde le lecteur au secteur, l'afficheur clignote pendant 2 minutes en indiquant  le logo STAGE 6, ceci est un fonctionnement normal  pour activer les circuits et garantir  des performances sonores optimales.  Il est préférable de le savoir. Some traces and marks on the top (see photos) The drawer belt and the read head shock absorbers are new. These elements have been recently replaced  by a professional. The read head is original (Philips CDM-12.4). For the moment, it has been kept because overall, the turntable works well. The mechanics are very responsive.    The turntable reads CDs without difficulty but it can happen, on poorly engraved  CD or CD  in poor condition, that the turntable gets into an "error" or "no disc" type error. This is rare but over time a replacement for the CDM12.4 read head, which is easily found on the net, may have to be considered. SOUND QUALITY This vintage player, the top of the Stage range from the French manufacturer Micromega, has a very high reputation among audiophiles for obvious reasons. It has a superb rendering, a musicality of a very great naturalness,  without aggressiveness. The instruments ring true and the voices are transcribed with impressive sonic realism. The sound image is ample, the spatialization remarkable.  SPECIAL FEATURES The reader has many unique functions. Instructions for use in French will be provided. La platine fonctionne parfaitement bien. quelques marques sans conséquence existent sur la peinture autour des vis de fixation. La platine fonctionne en 120 volts. Il est à noté que son moteur est adapté à tous types de fréquences 50/60 hertz et donc peut fonctionner (avec un adaptateur de courant) sur tous les continents. Il est à vitesse variable ce qui lui permet la lecture de très anciens disques je n'ai pas testé (par sécurité) l'ampli intégré dans le coffret mais qui est complet avec tous ses tubes.
