1964 Motor Yacht This beautiful Yacht La Felicite started life in 1964 as a mahogany motor sailer ketch. Between 2007-20010 the hull was completely rebuilt new as is now fiberglass over ply all in very good condition. Over the past 4 months she's had an internal fitout including all new cushions and upholstery, paint, New fridge, hull repaint, decks refinished in 2k paint, antifoul, New fuel tank and a service. Since all the work has been done we've cruised about 40 hours mainly on the canals but also along the coast. She's a great boat- perfect for the canals with her 1m draft but also handles very well at sea with a very heavy keel. We restored the boat with no expense spared as we planned to keep the boat for a long time, and use it in the canals and coastal cruising the med, but business commitments have mean that we have to leave France, so she's going up for sale. The Perkins 4236 fires up straight away, runs smoothly, blows no smoke, uses no oil, and pulls well. We normally cruise at around 6 knots and the engine is smooth and quiet. These engines are bullet proof, all part are readily available and cheap from uk specialists. The gearbox is very smooth too. She has a beautiful mooring on the canal du midi till 2022 near Villeneuve les Beziers. The cost of the mooring is only 500 euros a year. She also has a permit to use the canal system which is paid up until the end of the year. As far as equipment goes it has everything you need. It's perfect for 2 couples or a couple and kids as you have plenty of privacy between the 2 cabins. Bought new in 1974, used until 1997. the engine was starting to smoke blue, a mechanic had suspected a piston ring to be redone. the cost of repairs was too high, we bought another vehicle. for all these years we have hoped to repair it so that we could use it or sell it, but have not had the courage to do it ourselves. in 2001, i wanted to rebuild it, so i started to dismantle the interior (seats) and the front of the car (headlights, bumper, grille). the front seats and floor carpet were left outside and got rained on... we threw them away, as we thought it would be easy to find. it's been stored dry all this time, i can take many more pictures for those interested. all documents are present, registration certificate, certificate of conformity.
