BBC Transcription Service disks of the shows were distributed throughout the Commonwealth the follow year and were later released in the USA. Very hard to find and RARE Ac/dc BOX set Vol 1 Complete with 6 albums Why rare? as it has the red lettered Powerage sleeve misprint and the TNT with white border. Those were only released in this very limited 1989 box set. A lot of these box sets exist in cardboard, but very few were made in this perspex plastic box. Overall super condition, see pictures for a very detailed condition. - All records seem to be unplayed and are NM. - Sleeves are all close to NM except for Dirty Deeds that has wide tape marks allover (VG), but it's not distrubing as you can see on the pictures. Powerage has a tiny seam split as you can see to the left. - Plastic box (inevitable scratches, one corner missing a part - see pictures) and inner (tears, tape and wear on sides) are VG. Of course, shadowing these giants of prog were a number of young upstarts keen to make a challenge for gold and glory, not least of these were American mid-west contenders Starcastle. The band’s carefully executed debut album attracted a number of converts, selling something in the region of a quarter of a million copies, resulting in Epic records taking a keener interest. In an effort to up the ante, so to speak, the band was sent into the studio (Morin Heights, Quebec) to record their next album with flamboyant and creative British producer Roy Thomas Baker (Queen, Journey, Foreigner). ‘Fountains Of Light’ is arguably Starcastle’s finest moment. Baker’s production is meticulous yet forceful, allowing the band to stretch out and take on the competition without sacrificing integrity or a natural melodic song writing ability. Some refer to it as the "Secret Downliners Sect Album". It really never was........  Many theories and stories of how it came about have circulated over the years...  How it actually came about was thanks to a record producer friend of mine, Eddie Bourne. Eddie was asked to produce a Punk album, by a band called The Vacants. At the time Eddie felt the band needed augmenting for recording purposes, so he asked me to play guitar on the session...  Following on the back of the relative success of The Vacants album, I pursuaded Eddie to allow me to record a Punk album under the name F.U.2.  It all started out as a bit of a joke really. It was late 1970's that me and Keith Grant (2), of the Downliners Sect, set about to write the songs. Some of these we already had in the can that we thought would fit the bill, like "Out Of School", "Playin' My Guitar" which incidentally were later to appear on the Sects 'Showbiz' album. It wasn't long before ten other songs had been assembled and were ready to take into the studio.  As a band F.U.2 obviously never existed, so Keith and I enlisted musician friends to play on the session. Paul Holm was on drums, Robin Langridge on keyboards. Don Craine on rhythm guitar and Paul Tiller on blues harp were also co-opted to play on a couple of tracks. One by one, first John, then Paul, they recorded 23 of their newest compositions by double-tracking themselves on George's Reel-to-Reel-tape-machine. These songs, most of whom where written during the Beatles' two-month-stay on a meditation-course in Rishikesh, India, February - April 1968, were subsequently recorded for the 'White Album'. But not all of them made it onto vinyl and thus remain unreleased (at least as Beatles-versions). Judging by the outcome of this session, it must have been a very sunny and relaxing day. Spring certainly was in the air (and a bit of pot maybe too). Just accompanied by their acoustic guitars, John, Paul and George recorded very charming and joyful early versions of their newest tunes. Something slightly out-of-sync with their own double-tracking but who cares? Spontanity counts! Had this session been recorded 25 years later it would have been a bonafide TV-Unplugged-performance! But as it is, this 1968 session remained in the vaults until now !! David Bowie's very own copy he used when in recording studios was part of the recent exhibition seen around the world. The Oblique strategies are known by musicians and the OB's are still used today for daily inspiration. Several re-editions of this card set were made since but very few people have ever seen this first edition. This is an exceptional collector's piece. Impossible to find in this great condition. The box as light wear on the bottom corners but is still really great (see photos) Cards are super clean, signed card is perfect. A museum piece ! Les vinyles ont quelques rayures qui n'affectent pas la qualité sonore. Certains crépitements peuvent être audibles sur des platines très sensibles. VG très bon  la pochette est usée avec des plis, des marques, des décollements, une usure des bords, des décolorations, un début de marque circulaire du disque sur la pochette. les signes de l'âge sont présents. Le vinyle a des rayures et marques qui affectent la qualité sonore avec des craquements et sautements. G pauvre l'état de la pochette est proche de celui de VG- avec en plus des écritures, un papier gondolé à cause de l'humidité

Enceintes Sony SS-G 1 II avec câble HIFI. État : Occasion 2 enceintes - livrées avec câbles et notices d'époque. (Années 80) Très bon état de conservation - Fonctionnent très correctement. Vente pour changement de système moins volumineux. SONY SS-G1   The original  SS-G1  was made in Japan. The smaller but heavier  SS-G1mkII  was assembled and tweaked in Germany by WEGA. The  SS-G1mkIII  did see even better power handling and a filter repratee shifted up by 1Khz. Typical Sony: all three only say " G1 " on the their front and cover, whatever the actual version... All three sported a 25cm Carbocon woofer, the "acoustically grooved" front baffle and a fair directivity plot (given the price-range). THD specs show a predominance of 2nd harmonics (I can hear that:) and my ears tell me they can take a LOT of power without going haywire. My own november 1980 mkII have an ogival damped sub-enclosure holding the mid driver and although the filter board is tagged " Sony, made in Japan ", several components bear a WEGA sticker. The inside shows many corner braces plus a large, 3cm thick, flower-like shape supplementary surface glued to the back to diminish standing resonances. The 25cm tall WS-E70 feet are screwed to the underside with a huge and large (single) screw. As a few lower to mid-end Sony speakers from 1977 onward, the  G1mkII  were part of those units "tuned in Europe" for the european market and for european "ears". The low and high drivers in my mkII are  SEAS OEMs with diecast aluminium structure, the mid as well probably but it is sealed so I can't be sure... A 1980 Best Buy in the UK at any rate.
