This is an Intrepid 8x10 camera in excellent working condition. The only small point worth noting is that I shortened one of the tabs on the ground glass holder in order to allow the back to be closed in landscape mode - see images. The rest of the camera is in near perfect condition with only some superficial marks on the wood. The glass is chip and scratch free. The bellows are light-tight and undamaged. The focus mechanism is smooth and works as normal. [NEAR-MINT] 8mm 1.75x BABY HYPERGONAR by H. CHRETIEN / ANAMORPHIC / CINEMASCOPE This copy of this mythic lens is absolutely flawless, it's just like buying a brand new lens, and I sincerely ain't bullshitting about that. It comes with 3 original rear adapters, original front & rear caps, the original box and the user manual. This anamorphic adapter have fixed focus, which means that it's in focus from 4m to infinity, and you can get a closer focus by focusing on your taking lens as well as by using diopters. It's a very small scope but the results a properly stunning, you'll get a very very sharp image and some truly pretty nice neutral/blueish flares. I'm selling it because I have too many anamorphic scopes and I don't use the Hypergonar that much frequently, so it will probably be in better hands with someone else; this wonder of technic has to be use to create and always create more, not to taking the dust on a shelf. I paid 1500€ for this few months ago, so I'm asking 1300€ today, in regard to what I payed back in the days, I think it's fair enough. I barely used it, it's truly like a new thing. And deservdly so, since it is an excellent little unit that is capable of absolutely superb visual results, while being small enough to be within most peoples pockets! In construction the 8mm HYPERGONAR is unique. With a minimal length, at least half that of its nearest rival, and a very small diameter. It is virtually a solid block of glass, a beautifully made objective and a delight to use. The exterior is in very good condition, with a small amount of paint loss which can be seen in the product photos on careful inspection. The glass is in excellent condition, and the interior is very clean with limited dust. The focusing ring turns smoothly and with no play, and the tilt and shift movements are all working perfectly. There is a tiny mark on the front element, which is only visible at certain angles. We have gone to some trouble to ensure it is plainly visible in the product photo of the front of the lens. It is a very light scuff to the anti-reflective coating on this element. We believe this will have zero impact on any photos taken with the lens, but we take a conservative approach to our descriptions! En effet, la mesure de l’émission ne suffit pas à elle seule pour déterminer l'état d'un tube. C'est sa pente qui indique son potentiel en terme de durée de vie. Ainsi, par exemple, une ECC83 testée à 1.2 mA par triode à 250V/-2V pourrait sembler neuve car 100%= 1.2 mA. Hors, il se peut que sa pente mesurée ne soit seulement que de 1,3 mA/V par triode au lieu de 1,6 mA/V (100%). Cela signifie que ce tube a déjà été longuement utilisé et est en fait à 80% de son rendement nominal. Son émission était donc à l'origine bien supérieure au 1.2 mA mesuré (comme on le constate régulièrement sur les productions anciennes), peut-être à 1,5 mA ou plus. Le tube ne peut donc absolument pas être considéré comme neuf et vendu comme tel. Donc la mesure la plus importante à prendre en considération pour choisir un tube est sa pente en mA/V obtenue avec les paramètres de la datasheet du fabricant. English Nota: Measured tubes I sell are measured both in emission and mutual condutance (Gm). Indeed, measuring emission only is useless to know the tube's condition. It's its mutual condutance which indicates its potential lifetime. For instance, an ECC83 measured at 1.2 mA per triode at 250v/-2v could seem to be new as 100%= 1.2 mA. But, its mutual conductance once measured could only be 1,3 mA/V per triode instead of 1,6 mA/V (100%). It means that the tube was already extensively used and is only at 80% of what it was supposed to deliver when new. When new, its emission was higher than the 1.2 mA measured, maybe 1,5 mA or more per triode. This tube could not be considered as new and can't be sold as new.
