This is one of the very first rangefinder camera made by Alpa. The production started with number 11000. This example is the version without slow speeds. This set is sold as it was found ! It sold for collection or for repair. Shutter fires but curtains do not finish the release. Rangefinder does not work. The lock off lens system is missing. Lenses need service. Alpa-12-GG This Alpa Ground Glass 4mm Grid + Fresnel, 37 x 49mm Mask Boxed is in excellent cosmetic condition. The Alpa item number of this item is 310.010.008. The housing has very minor wear. There are some marks and wear on the Fresnel screen. I rate this item cosmetically at a (9+). Functionally, this ground glass is in proper working order. OK, this is something special. It came in with a Minolta AF-S (also for sale separately). It appears to be a custom, one-of-a-kind leather case designed specifically for that camera. It appears to be made of something like ostrich leather, crazy as that sounds. The stitching is precise, and the inside has a soft lining. There is a cutout along the top rear edge that provides access to the AF-S's viewfinder and flash release. I am almost positive this is not a commercial product: there is no branding, and there is no tripod screw attachment in the bottom of the case, yet it precisely holds an AF-S (as seen in the pictures). This is a genuine Nikon cable release for the Nikon F and F2 (with the screw collar, rather than the standard center thread that almost all later cameras used). This must be an early example because it is not actually labled "AR-2," although that's clearly what it is. Smooth action, locking works. Be sure to check out my other sales.
