MXR Distortion + 80's in very good condition, it's from 1981 if i remember correctly, it's written on the pots anyway and if it's important to you, ask me and i will check it again. it has the famous chip UA741CP like the early DOD 250, it's basically the same pedal except it has different resistance, this one has germanium and the DOD 250 has silicon but for me they sound similar, i have both, the MXR has less gain and is a bit more fuzzy because of the germanium pieces inside but anyway it's the same pedal Randy Rhoads used and early Iron Maiden too, it sounds marvelous for bluesy stuff in my Marshall Plexi amp but it can do heavy metal too... For those who wonder why it is so expensive, it's because it's the real deal, not the new ones who sounds very bad even if they have the same circuit, i know because i had one, i think it's because of the age, i always preferred my vintage pedals because they all have a special mojo that the new ones don't have, i also have a vintage Ibanez TS9 and i had the new one too and it's not the same thing, there's a reason people are buying vintage pedals... I was continuously reminded of the Neuron's impact as it swooped and roared in the background of an interview that I recorded at that show. Now the attractive concept of running that technology from your computer desktop has created a stir of its own. The Neuron VS package consists of two parts, one hardware and one software (as this review was approaching completion, a second software component, Modelmaker, was added to the bundle — see the boxout for more on this). The hardware element is the USB-driven Nuke remote control unit, which offers a single stick controller — the X-Y joystick, of which there are four on the original Neuron keyboard — and four assignable continuous controllers. Neuron VS, the software component, is essentially the synth engine from the original Neuron in plug-in form. Obviously, the keyboard version has the advantage of its own dedicated hardware, so its performance is not dependent on the power of your CPU or the amount of RAM you have installed, as is the case with Neuron VS.
