JEN P-700 This is a rare synth pedal bass from the 70s. Italian analog synth JEN P-700.  Very basic synth sound but very fat: selection of 2 pitchs sound (16 / 8) that can also be combined, a low pass filter and an variable and switchable release. global tune and volume. The synth has been serviced. 2 switches were replaced and everything was checked and cleaned and tuned and so it works perfectly.Unit is a 230v.  Condition is quite good but the vinyl casing has some cracks and the lettering is gone. It's a lot to ask. I know. Hell I'm about as scientific minded as they get when it comes to anything else except audio. That's because my ears and the ears of my colleagues/friends have heard things. Things we can't measure (with conventional tools/methods), things we can't really put into adequate words, but can only hint at with rambling cliches. It's wholly inadequate, but I've found a way to get beyond words, hype, bullshit and the like. Everything Makes A DifferenceI have been experimenting with crystals, metals, and other materials in respect to the effect they have on signal transmission and room acoustics. Let me just say that everything, EVERYTHING in your listening room has some effect on the sound of your audio system, and in more ways than you think. Even the air in the room, it all affects performance, and can be altered. You've seen my experimentation with Copper rods (still ongoing, with more blogging to come...) alongside conventional acoustic treatments within a listening space. This is a fantastic, and inexpensive tweak. The copper brings openness, naturalness and enhances dynamics. Even a well acoustically treated room. That was my first unconventional means of attacking a common problem. inexpensive to try, and I make no money from it. Not necessarily cheap, but that is about to change... For the crystal based products there are of course Jack B's latest inventions: Room Neutralizers, Quantum Signal Enhancers. Let's not forget the Stein Harmonizer system, Synergistic Research HFT, UEF, Audio Magic P.E.A. and PulseGen technology. All of these use crystals, resonance and either are energized by or produce a b'"'fieldb'"' that enhances certain aspects of music reproduction. All do something to the sound, or to the listener perhaps, that enhances or at the very least changes the sonics of a system and/or room. These have all been an inspiration of sorts, and I have listened to them all. I have much respect for these manufacturers. It takes hundreds, even thousands of hours and tens of thousands of dollars to develop a product such as this. That's before one dime is made. Think about that the next time you read or hear someone bashing a manufacturer for egregious pricing in light of parts count and cost. It's the original idea, the research, the time, and money invested beforehand with no guarantee of return. This needs to be calculated into the MSRP in addition to the material cost of production. Then one has to project how many will be sold (good luck with that in the audio industry) and hopefully come up with a number that will produce a reasonable profit. But I digress.... This VSL 3-E seems to have some kind of electronics problem. The viewfinder display lights up "60" with the other speeds showing flashing dots, no matter what the settings. Shutter fires at specific speeds, but in A mode mirror locks up. Cosmetically, the camera is in like-new condition. It was acquired from the stock of a former camera store, and my guess is it was a return that failed shortly after the original owner bought it. Here we have a beautiful example of Nikon's iconic fast fifty. This is the "S·C" version, which as far as I know was only made in the pre-Ai F mount. This lens does have an Ai mount, so it was presumably modified at some point: the conversion is expertly done, perhaps by Nikon itself (I think you could send in your pre-AI lenses for modification for a while). It will now work with modern Nikon SLRs and DSLRs.  Anyway, this lens is in excellent condition. Glass is clean and clear, no fungus, no haze. There is a tiny mark on the rear element (visible in the second photo) but otherwise the glass appears pristine and unmarked. Iris blades are clean and snappy. Aperture selector moves nicely, focus is even. Includes original front and rear caps (the classy old Nippon Kogaku type that feel like bakelite) and the lens's HS-1 hood.  Be sure to check out my other sales. While the first - voltage gain - stage is based on an integrated circuit of the highest audio pedigree, the second - power gain - stage is a single-ended, pure Class-A amplifier. It enables the CanAmp to drive virtually any headphones from 8 ohms up to 600 ohms. As its output power (at 8 ohm) is nearly 1W, the CanAmp could drive even a high-sensitivity loudspeaker! The unit has no internal wiring, and the signal path is kept to a minimum on its PCB. Its high-quality, 1 dB-tolerance Blue Alps volume pot goes through a further selection process during manufacturing to achieve an even tighter, 0.5 dB tolerance. The CanAmp not only has a line-level input but offers a line-level output to boot; it can therefore be connected to the TAPE MONITOR output of an amplifier, leaving the TAPE output free for additional components (MP3, MiniDisc, CDR, etc.). Gold-plated RCA terminals are used, and soldered directly onto the fibreglass PCB. Measured performance is excellent, the bandwidth going far beyond the audio range in both bass and treble, with low distortion into any normal headphone impedance and plentiful output. Output level isn’t everything and the Heed will in any case drive even harder, but this amp impressed not least on account of its large audio scale. Indeed, even with quite modest volume-control settings the soun just seemed big and generous, tonally, dynamically and even spatially. Once again, there’s a lot of detail, but the dominant impression is of size. Funnily enough, this was perhaps more pronounced with some unaccompanied solo vocals than with orchestra or mega-rock, but that just serves to remind one that the human voice can indeed be a very big instrument. Perhaps if you like your music a bit on the polite side this may seem a touch excessive, but we freely confess that we just loved it. Tonality is great too. Very wide soundstage. Open airy 3D sound. The soundtage seems to stretch way beyond the headphones with an airy feel each instrument separated in its own space. Imaging is well defined and the midrange and treble are at a level that makes listening for long periods very non-fatiguing. The Op-amp can be swapped for other types to give a different sound balance if preferred such as the AD823AN (more pronounced high end) or LM4562NA (more forward sound with better bass control). Great integrated amplifier, comes with the optional wireless card (worth of 300 euros!) and the optional remote, sold separately for 45 euros. It was a secondary system that was not been used much, in perfect working condition and looks. Great DAC on the wireless side of CD quality without compression (16 bits / 44 kHz) and also an excellent headphone output. I'm also throwing in the CD50 player that it worked absolutely perfectly until recently, when it no longer turns on. I took a look inside, but everything seems in order, no burnt parts, I don't know what could be the cause and I don't have time, someone else could fix it and use it, it sounds great and it cost about 650 euros! Moosapotomus recreation of the classic 70's A/DA flanger. It's been sitting in a box a few years, half-built, hopefully someone can use it.. it's a shame for it to go to waste, one of the best flanger designs of all time. I'll never have the time to finish it unfortunately. He adapted this circuit to use the MN3007 chip and has an onboard charge pump to feed it 18V from a standard 9V supply. You would need an MN3007 chip (they are being produced again, or go NOS) and your stompswitch of choice, then just drill the enclosure and wire it up. Everything else is there - all the other IC's, pots, knobs, in/out/pwr and expression jacks, standoffs etc. Only top quality parts - Alpha, Wima, Panasonic, Bourns etc. Hammond 1590DD enclosure. All component level soldering completed and flux has been cleaned. Gold plated sockets for all IC's. This a complex a complex build, well compared to a fuzz or OD anyway. The lens has been revised recently, does not contain fungus, scratches and dust. The battery was bought a year ago and has been reconditioned, it allows to rotate fifteen reels of 30m. It is best to come and see it if you can and test it directly. It is a very good camera, easy to use and ready to shoot.
